up gasoline and oil

operating your mower.

For shippingpurposes,the chutedeflectoron your
moweris held in an uprightpositionbya retainer.
Removethe retaineras follows:
a. Push chutedeflectorup towardsengine.Holding
deflectorin this position,removethe retainerand
discard.See Step 1.
b. Lowerthe chute deflectorcarefullykeepingyour
fingersout of the way.

Performthe followingsequencefor handlesetup:
a. Lift the upper handleup from the foldedpositionto
the extendedpositionfollowingthe arrowin Step2.
Thehandle shouldclick intothis position.
b. Makesurethe carriageboltis seatedproperlyin
the handle.Tightenstar knobssecuringupper
handleto the lowerhandle
If satisfiedwith heightof handle,tightenstar knobs
at the endsof the lowerhandleshownin Step3. For
convenience of operating,youmay adjustthe handle
heightasfollows:
a. Removethestar knobsshownin Step3 and
removethe lowerhandle.
b. Positioneach handlebracketstud intothe top hole
in thelowerhandle.See Step3 inset.
c. Tightenthe star nuts.
Insertpost on cable ties into holesprovidedon the
lowerhandle.Pullcabletie tight and trim excess.See
Step4.
