Oil Recommendations
Whenaddingoil to the engine,refertothe viscositychart below
(Figure13).Engineoil capacity is600 rnl (approx.20 oz.). Donot
over-fill.Usea 4-stroke,or an equivalenthigh detergent,premiumqual-
ity motoroil certifiedto meetor exceedU.S.automobilemanufacturer's
requirements for serviceclassificationSG,SR Motoroils classifiedSG,
SF will showthis desicnationon the container.
DO NOTuse non-detergent o il or 2-strokeengineoil. It couldshorten
theengine'sservicelife.

Thespark plug shouldbe checkedevery25 hoursand changedonce
a seasonor every 100hours. Toensureproperengine operation, t he
sparkplug mustalso be properlygappedand free of deposits.
Removethe sparkplug bootand usea spark plugwrenchto
removethe plug,Figure14.

Visuallyinspect t he sparkplug. Discardthe sparkplug if thereis
any apparentwear,or if the insulatoris crackedor chipped.Clean
the spark plugwith a wire brushif it is to be reused.
Measure the pluggap with a feelergauge.Correctas necessary by
bendingthe sideelectrode,Figure15.Thegap shouldbe set to
.02-.03inches(0.60-0.80ram).
