Auger Control
Referto Auger ControlTeston Page 11to adjustthe
augercontrol.
Drive Control
Whenthedrivecontrol is releasedand in thedisen-
gaged"up" position,the cable shouldhavevery little
slack. It shouldNOT be tight.
Checkthe adjustmentof the drivecontrolas follows:
1. With thedrive controlreleased,pushthe snow
throwergently forward.The unitshouldroll freely.
2. Engagethedrivecontroland gentlyattemptto push
the snowthrowerforward.Thewheels shouldnot
turn. Theunit shouldnotroll freely.
3. With thedrive controlreleased,movethe shift lever
backand forth betweenthe R2positionand the F6
positionseveraltimes. Thereshouldbe no resistance
in the shiftlever.
4. If anyof the abovetestsfailed, thedrive cableisin
needof adjustment.Proceedas follows:
5. Loosenthe lowerhexnut on the drivecable bracket.

6. Positionthe bracketupwardto providemoreslack (or
downward to increasecabletension).
7. Retightenthe upper hexnut.
Chute Assembly
Thedistancesnowis throwncan be adjustedby chang-
ing the angleof thechute assembly.Todo so:
1. Stopthe engineby removingthe ignitionkeyand
loosenthe plasticwing knobfoundon the left sideof
thechute assembly.
