Whentheoven is in usethe areanearthe
vent may become hot enough to cause
burns.Neverblockthe ventopening.
The oven vent is locatedat the baseof the
controlpanel.
Do not place plasticsnear thevent opening
as heat from the vent could distort or melt
the plastic.
TO REPLACE: Placerack on the rack sup-
port in the oven;tilt the front end up slightly;
slide rack back until it clears the lock-stop
position;lowerfront and slide back into the
oven.
Do not cover an entire rack with alumi-
num foil or place foil on the ovenbottom.
Baking results will be affected and dam-
age may occur to the oven bottom.
RACK POSITIONS
NOTE: Never place pans directly on the
oven bottom.
ROASTINGPOSITION:
Used for roastingtallercuts of meator tur-
key.Placeboth
oven
racks,
one above the
other, on the
raised sides of
the oven bot-
tom.
Protectoven bottom against spillovers, es-
peciallyacidic or sugaryspills, as they may
discolorthe porcelainenamel. Use the cor-
rect pan size to avoid spillovers and
boilovers. Do not place aluminum foil
directly on the oven bottom.
Theoven lightautomatically comeson when
the oven door is opened.
When the door is closed,
press the rocker switch on
the controlpanel to turn the
OVEN LIGHT
lighton or off.
DOnot attemptto changethe rack posi,
tionwhen the ovenis hot.
Convectionrangesare equippedwith three
racks. The racks are designedwith a lock-
stop edge.
TO REMOVE: Pull rack straightout until it

RACK 5 (highestposition):
For toastingbread or broilingthin, non-
fatty foods.
RACK 4:
Used for mostbroiling.
RACK 3:
Used for most bakedgoods on a cookie
sheet or jelly roll pan, layer cakes, fruit
pies,or frozenconveniencefoods.
RACK2:
Used for roasting small cuts of meat,
casseroles, baking loaves of bread,
bundtcakesor custardpies.
RACK 1:
Used for roastinglarge cuts of meat and
poultry,frozen pies, dessert souffles or
angel foodcake.
MULTIPLERACK COOKING:
Two rack: Use rack positions2 and 4, or
1 and 4.
Three rack: Use rack positions1,3 and 5
(seeillustration).
HALF RACKACCESSORY
A half rack, to increase oven capacity, is
availableas an accessory.It fits in the left,
upper portion of the oven and provides
space for a vegetable dish when a large
roaster is on the
