Embroidering small pieces of fabric
If you want to embroider on a small piece of fabric
which cannot be fitted into the frame, we recom
mend using adhesive backing. This backing
consists of a cover layer and an adhesive layer.
(Filmoplast)
Lift up the cover layer slightly with the pin and
remove it with your fingers.
The adhesive layer is now revealed.
Insert the adhesive backing with the smooth side
(=
cover layer) facing up in the hoop/frame.
Using a pin, carefully perforate the cover layer
crosswise.
As a result, the adhesive backing can be used
again.
Adhere your piece of fabric to the adhesive layer.
After embroidering the fabric, tear away your fabric
piece from the adhesive layer. The resulting hole in
the backing can be patched by placing a piece of
adhesive backing the size of the hole plus / inch
(1 cm) underneath the hole.
