Food Poisoning Hazard
Do not let food sit in oven more than one hour before
or after cooking.
Doing so can result in food poisoning or sickness.
Burn Hazard
Keep children away from lower oven when hot.
Failure to do so can result in burns.
NOTE: The Triple Task Oven Drawer will not operate when the
main oven is in self-clean mode.
The maximum height of foods that can be placed in the Triple
Task Oven Drawer is 2" (5 cm), so watch foods that rise.
For best results, use insulated or aluminum cookware or
bakeware; do not use dark coated nonstick cookware or
bakeware. Use pans large enough to hold food and any juices
that may result from cooking.
The oven rack must always be in place when cooking in the Triple
Task Oven Drawer to allow movement of air under the food. See
illustration below for proper position of rack.
Do not
put food,
cookware
or bakeware
directly on the bottom of
the oven drawer. To cook food evenly, allow 2" (5 cm) of space
around food and between
food and the oven walls so that hot air
can circulate.
Do not cover food with plastic wrap; use a lid or
foil.
When using the Triple Task Oven Drawer, always open and close
the drawer completely. To minimize the sliding of cookware, close
the drawer slowly.
Always check the doneness of food at the minimum cooking time
because cooking times may vary from those of the main oven.
During cooking, limit the number of times you open the Triple
Task Oven Drawer to minimize heat loss and uneven cooking
results.
To Use as an Oven:
1. Push in and turn the TRIPLE TASK OVEN DRAWER selector
knob to the desired temperature for the food being cooked.
2,
Allow the oven drawer to preheat.
The indicator light above the control knob will remain lit
until the unit has completed the preheat cycle. The
indicator light will turn on and off as the element turns on
and off.
3. Open Triple Task Oven Drawer completely
and place food on
the rack.
4. Close the oven drawer. Be sure the catch system latches
completely.
5. Halfway through the cooking process, turn food.
6. Turn selector knob to OFF when finished cooking.
Use as a Warming
Drawer
The Triple Task Oven Drawer may also be used as a warming
drawer.
The Triple Task Oven Drawer is ideal for keeping hot cooked
foods at serving temperature.
It may also be used for warming
breads and pastries.
Different types of food may be placed in the Triple Task Oven
Drawer at the same time. For best results, do not hold foods
longer than 1 hour. For smaller quantities or heat-sensitive
foods
(such as eggs), do not hold longer than 30 minutes.
When using as a warming drawer, food must be at serving
temperature
before being placed in the Triple Task Oven Drawer.
(Breads, pastries, and fruit pies may be heated from room
temperature
on the HI setting.)
Remove food from plastic bags and place in oven-safe container.
Cover foods with a lid or aluminum foil. Do not cover with plastic
wrap.
When using as a warming drawer, empty serving dishes and
dinner plates can be heated in the Triple Task Oven Drawer
during or after preheating.
To Use:
1. Position rack, if needed, in the Triple Task Oven Drawer.
2. Turn the TRIPLE TASK OVEN DRAWER selector switch to
WARM. Low, medium and high settings are found within the
"WARM" area marked on the knob (low is near the "W," and
high is near the "M").
3. Allow Triple Task Oven Drawer to preheat for 10 minutes.
4. Place container with food into the Triple Task Oven Drawer.
5. Turn selector switch to OFF when finished warming.
