thetableawayfromthebottom ofthechuck.
5. Using a rubber m allet o r a hammer a nda blockof
wood, t apthechuckontothespindle firmly (Fig.K).

1. Cleanoutthetapered holeinthechuck(1)witha
clean clothanda non-alcohol based cleaner. Wipe
clean alloil reside andanydirtor grime thoroughly.
2. Cleantapered surfaces onthespindle (2)in the
samemanner a sabove.
NOTE: M ake suretherearenoforeign particles
sticking tothesurfaces. Theslightest p iece ofdirtor
oilreside onanyof thesesurfaces w illprevent t he
chuckfromseating properly. Thiswil!causethedrill
chuckandbit towobble. I ftapered holeis extremely
dirty,usea non-alcohoJ based cleaner o na cleanrag
toclean.
MOUNTING DRILLPRESS TOWORK SURFACE

1. If mounting t hedrillpresstoa workbench, a solid
wood bench is preferred overa plywood board, t o
reduce noise andvibration.
2. Holes should bepre-drilled t hrough thesupporting
surface.
3. Thehardware t o mount t hisdrillpressis NOT

3. Open the jaws of the chuck (1) by rotating the chuck
sleeve clockwise. To prevent damage, make sure the
jaws are completely receded into the chuck,
