WHEN USING THE OVEN
Do not touch heatingelementsor interiorsurfacesof the oven, Heatingelementsmaybe hot eventhoughthey
are darkin color. Interiorsurfaces of an ovenbecomehot enoughto causeburns. Duringand after usedo not
touch or let clothingor otherflammablematerialscontact heatingelementsor interiorsurfacesof the oven
untilthey havehad sufficienttime to cool. Othersurfacesof the oven,such asthe ovenvent opening and the
ovendoorand window couldalsobecomehot enoughto causeburns.
Alwayspositionovenshelvesin the desiredlocationwhile ovenis cool, If a shelf mustbe removedwhilethe
ovenis hot do not let the potholdercontacthot heatingelementsin the ovenor the baseof the oven.
Usecarewhen opening the ovendoor. Let hot air or steamescapebeforeremoving or replacing food.
Do not heat unopened food containers.Theycanbuild up pressure that maycausethe containerto burstand
result in injury.
Alwayskeepovenvent ducts unobstructed.
Useonlycookwareapprovedfor ovenuse. Followthe cookwaremanufacturers instructions.
Disconnect the electricalsupplybeforeservicingthe oven.
CARE AND CLEANING
Smallamountsof harmfulchemicals are givenoff in the self-cleaning cyclefrom insulation andfood
decomposition.Significantexposure to these substances cancausecanceror reproductiveharm. Ventingwith
a hood or openwindow and wipingout excessfood spillsprior to self-cleaning can minimizeexposure.
Do not useovencleaners. No commercial o vencleaner, o venliner or protectivecoatingof anykindshouldbe
usedin or aroundany part ofthe oven.
Beforeself cleaningthe oven,removethe three-piecebroilingsystem,anycookwareandthe ovenshelves. Do
not useyourovento cleanmiscellaneous p arts.
Do notcleanthe door or cavity seals(gaskets) or useany ovencleaningproductson the seals. Theyare essential
for a good sealand efficient operationof the oven.
Careshouldbe takennot to rub,damageor movethe seals.
