The Salt Reservoir Salt Indicator Light
Water softeningcanonlytake placewhen thereis salt in the reservoir. : If the salt indicatorlight is red,the salt reservoir is empty.
Thesalt reservoirmustbe filledprior to usingthe DishDrawer_ and
wheneverthe salt reservoir indicatorlightis red.
How to Fill the Salt Reservoir
1. Openthe DishDrawer®.
2. Unscrewthe salt reservoir plug by turningcounter-clockwise.
3. Placethe salt into the salt containerand pourthe contentsinto the
salt reservoir.Thesalt reservoir can hold upto approximately
lib of salt.
4. Fit the cap tightlyback into its originalposition.
5. If youdo not wash yourdishesimmediately after filling the salt
reservoir, r un a rinseprogramto removeanysalt water or
spilt granules.
Note
Whenfillingthe salt dispenser, you maynotice water being displaced
from the water softeneroverflow.
If the salt indicatorlight is black,there is enoughsalt in the
reservoir for the wash programthat hasbeenselected.
Prefinished Models. Theelectronicdisplaywill also indicate
whenthe salt reservoir is emptyby displaying the salt
symbol.

Do not pour detergent or rinse agent into the salt
reservoir. Detergent and rinse agent will destroythe
water softener.
