Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector
Exposure Compensation (Adjusting Brightness)
By adjusting exposure c:ompensation when taking pictures, you can adjust overall
image brightness.
1 Press i_ (ff-_ exposure compensation) on the
multi selector.

Press the multi selector • or • to select a I _1
compensation value.
• To make the image brighter, apply positive (+)
exposure compensation.
• To make the image darker, apply negative ( ) exposure
compensation.

3 Pressthe_ button.
• If the _) button is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection is set and the
setting menu disappears.
• Even when the shutter-release button is pressed without pressing the _) button, a
picture can be shot using the selected compensation value.
• When an exposure compensation value other than 0.0 is applied, the value is
displayed with the _ icon on the monitor.

• The changed exposure compensation value applied in I_1 (auto) mode is saved in the camera's
memory even after the camera is turned off,
• When the shooting mode is the Fireworks show scene mode (_43), the exposure
compensation cannot be used,
