Using a tripod makes the composition
easier. When using a tripod to stabilize the
camera, set Vibration
reduction (_73)
to Off in the setup menu.
Display the shooting
screen -_ I_1 (shooting
mode) button
-_ _ (the second icon from
the top _) -'_ i_ -'_ 1_ (panorama)
The icon for the last scene mode selected is displayed. The default setting is _
(portrait).

Choose
Panorama
assist
and press
the
I_)
button.
• The D icons are displayed to show the direction
in
which pictures are joined.

Use the
multi
selector
to choose
the direction
and press
the
_)
button.
• Select the direction
in which pictures arejoined
in the
completed
panorama: right (D), left ((]), up (,A,) or
down (_c_).
• The yellow panorama direction
icon (DD) is displayed
for the current direction
and the direction is fixed when
the _) button
is pressed. A white icon (D) is displayed in the selected direction.
• Apply flash mode (_54),
self-timer (_56),
macro mode (_57)
and exposure
compensation
(_58)
settings with this step, if necessary.
• Press the _) button again to reselect the direction.

Frame
the first
portion
of the
panorama
scene
and
take
the first
picture.
• The camera focuses on the subject at the
center of the frame.
• 1/3 of the image will be displayed as
translucent.
