Using Preset Manual
Use when you want to make pictures taken under unusual lighting conditions (e.g.,
lamps with reddishqight) look as though they were shot in normal light.
Use the procedure below to measure the white balance value under the lighting
used during shooting.

Place a white
or gray reference
object under the lighting
that will be
used during
shooting.

Display the shooting
menu ([Z_54), use the
multi selector
to set White
balance to
PR[ Preset manual,
then press the @ button.
• The lensextendsto the zoom position for
measurement.

Choose Measure.
• To apply the most recently measuredwhite balance
value,select Cancel and pressthe _) button. The most
recentlymeasured white balancevalue will be set
without re-measuringthe value.

Frame a white or gray reference object in the
reference
object frame.

Press the @ button
to measure the white balance value.
• The shutter is releasedand the new white balancepresetvalue is set(no picture is
recorded).

measure

value for when the flash fires. When

flash, set White

to Auto
(normal),
Auto (warm
lighting)
or Flash,
