3.2.2 Sensors

Sensor Test Pin
Connector Numbers
CN4 1: HP Place one lead on pin 1 and
(HP sensor) 2: GND the other lead on pin 2.
3: +5 V Check the resistances while
blocking the two sensor
terminals.
CN5 1: +5 V Place one lead on pin 2 and
(rear PE 2: PE the other lead on pin 3.

Test Method Meter Reading
(Set the meter to DC
voltage.)
1. Place one lead on Open: +5 V
pin 1 and the other Short: 0 V
lead on pin 2. Check
the resistances
while toggling the
paper release lever.
2. Place one lead on
pin 3 and the other
lead on pin 4. Check
the resistances
while toggling the
paper release lever.
Place one lead on pin 1 Open: +5 V
and the other lead on Short: 0 V
pin 2. Check the
resistances while
toggling the PG sensor
lever.
Place one lead on pin 2 Open: +5 V
and the other lead on (The cover is
pin 3. Check the open.)
