NOTE: Front fascia protectors may re-
duce airflow to the condenser, reducing
air conditioning performance.
For best air conditioner performance,
select the recirculation mode while
operating the air conditioning system.
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with
manual A/C systems, continuous use of
the recirculation mode may cause the in-
side air to become stuffy and window
fogging may occur. Extended use of this
mode is not recommended.
Heater System Performance
Heater performance is dependant on
the temperature of the engine coolant.
Therefore, the vehicle must be at
proper operating temperature before
the heating system will perform to its
full potential.
Manual Air Conditioning and
Heating System
Manual Temperature Control Panel
The manual air conditioning and heat-
ing system allows you to select the fol-
lowing:
• Blower motor speed (controls eight
speeds)
• Inside temperature (18°C - 32°C)
• Discharge air direction (panel, bi-
level, floor, mix, defrost)
• A/C compressor operation (controls
ON/OFF function)
• Air

Temperature Control Knob / Air
Conditioner Control Switch
• Rotating the temperature control
knob clockwise – increases the tem-
perature from 18°C to 32°C.
• Rotating the temperature control
knob counterclockwise – decreases
the temperature from 32°C to 18°C.
The outside temperature is displayed
on the driver information center dis-
play. The recommended setting for
maximum comfort for the average per-
son is 22°C.
Press the air conditioner control
(outside
air/
switch to turn on the air conditioner.
When the air conditioner is turned on,
Adjust the tempera-
ture of the climate
control system to
the desired tem-
perature by rotating
the
temperature
control knob.
