Message Center Displays
This display panel enables you to understand
what the video recorder is doing at any time.
Designed to be self-explanatory, these messages
are displayed automatically.
Message Center Video Recorder
Display Operation
Tuner Messages
CHANNEL SET Indicates video recorder has
completed auto channel
search.
HELLO Appears when VCR is
turned on.
SAVED 3 Indicates channel 3 is saved
m Channel Scan.
SKIPPED 7 Indicates channel 7 is
deleted from Channel Scan.
CHANNEL IIndicates VCR tuner is
tuned to a specific channel.
AUX Indicates video recorder is
tuned to receive both video
and audio signals from the
video in and audio in jacks.
Setup Messages
SET CLOCK Indicates clock needs to be
set. NOTE: This message
appears if power to the
video recorder is interrupted.
Operating Indicators
Indicates the video recorder
is in the VCR
Tuner/Playback mode.
[-_ Indicates a cassette is loaded
in the video recorder.
The messages in the display may be duplications
of information shown on the TV screen. Any
changes you make will be visible in both places.

NO CASSETTE Appears when TIMER is
pressed and there is no
cassette in the video
recorder. Press TIMER key
to release VCR from Timer
mode.

Appears when REC ITR is
pressed and the cassette
inserted in the video
recorder has no safety tab.
Appears when
STEREO/MONO/2nd
AUDIO is set to the MONO
position.

STEREO/MONO/2nd
AUDIO is set to the
STEREO position.
Appears when
STEREO/MONO/2nd
AUDIO is set to the 2nd
AUDIO program position.
Appears when the VCR is
set to receive stereo but no
stereo broadcast is available.
Appears when the VCR is
set to receive a 2nd Audio
Program but no 2nd Audio
Program broadcast is
available.
