Note: The VCR Plus Setup beginning on page 11-1 must be completed before you
can record using the VCR Plus feature. Make sure all cables are connected
properly and that the date/time in the VCR clock are correct.
1. Get
VCR
Pluscode
number
from
your
local
TV guide.
Consult
your local TV guide and get the Pluscode
number
printed
with the broadcast
you want to record.
If there isn't (_-
any Pluscode
number
then use regular
Timer recording.
2. Turn
on all system
components.
Turn
on VCR,
TV,
cable/converter
box etc. Tune the TV to Channel
3'.

Switchremote
to VCR mode.
Press
VCR PLUS on the
remote
control
to place Pluscode
menu
on the TV screen.
Enter the VCR Pluscode
using the numbers
on the remote.
The Pluscode
can be up to nine digits. Enter
all requested
information
for Program
1 and check for accuracy.
Press
SELECT
to enter
information
for the next Program;
if
there is one.

Press TIMER
to set the VCR into Timer
mode. The VCR
will remain off until broadcast
time; TIMER SET will ap-
pear in the VCR message center window.
Note:
While
the VCR is in Timer mode
it cannot
be turned
on manually
and all functions
will not be available.
After
recording
is complete,
if necessary,
press
TIMER
to
release
the VCR
from
Timer
mode.
Note: A recording/viewing TV option is to use the TV/VCR key on your remote
control to switch the TV screen image from the picture being received by the
VCR tuner to the picture being received by the TV Tuner, then manually use the
TV tuner to select the channels for viewing. Using this method of watching TV,
you will not interfere with the Timer mode programmed
into the VCR.
* Or 4, the same channel that you set with the CH3-4 switch on the back of the
VCR to send the VCR signal to the TV set.
