comes on briefly and
then goes off. The
light stays off even
when the power is
switched on again.
Solution
The power cable may be loose or not
properly plugged into the electrical outlet.
Turn off the printer and check the power
cable connections between the printer and
the electrical outlet.
The power switch is off. Turn on the
switch.
Power is not being supplied to the
electrical outlet. Check to see if the
electrical outlet is controlled by an outside
switch or automatic timer; if so, use a
different outlet. Plug another electrical
device into the outlet to determine
whether the outlet is working properly.
The voltage may not be correct for your
printer. Check the label on the printer's
rear panel and confirm that the printer's
voltage rating matches the voltage of your
electrical outlet. If the voltages do not
match, unplug the printer and contact your
Epson dealer immediately. Do not
reconnect the power cable to an electrical
outlet. Refer to 1-15.
The problem may lie with the electrical
outlet. Plug another electrical device into
the outlet to determine whether the outlet
is operating properly.
