Printing on Special Paper

Your printer can also print on a wide variety of paper types,
including multipart forms, labels, and envelopes.
For multipart forms and labels, you should not print any closer
than 0.5 inch or 13 mm from either side of the paper. For
information on the printable area of envelopes, see "Printer
Specifications" on page A-4.
Caution:
c
When printing on multipart forms, thicker-than-normal paper,
labels, or envelopes, make sure your software program settings
keep the printing entirely within the printable area. Printing past
the edge of these papers can damage the print head.

Adjusting the paper-thickness lever

Before printing on special paper, you need to change the paper
thickness setting.
1. Turn the printer off and open the cover. The paper-thickness
lever is on the left side of the printer. The numbers next to the
lever indicate the thickness setting.
