No sound is heard from the center speaker.
-_ Make sure the sound fieM flmction is on (press
MODE +/ ).

or "virtual" (see page 31-33).

•"_ Make sure the center speaker size parameter is set
to either SMALL or LARGE (see page 19).
No sound or only a very low-level sound is heard
from the rear speakers.

When recording fi'om a digital component, make
sure tile input mode is set to ANALOG (see page
24) before recording with a component connected
to the analog MD/DAT or TAPE terminals.
•"_ When recording fi'olll a digital component, make
sure tile input inode is set to DIGITAL (see page
24) before recording with tile component
connected to tile DIGITAL MD/DAT OUT
terminals.
Radio stations cannot be tuned in.
•"_ Check that tile antennas are connected securely.
Adjust the antennas and connect all external
antenna if necessary.
Tile signal strength of the stations is too weak
(when tuning in with automatic tuning). Use
direct tuning.
Make sure you set tile tuning interval correctly
(when ttming in AM stations with direct ttming)
(see pages 46 and 59).
No stations have been preset or the preset stations
have been cleaied (when tuning by scanning preset
stations). Preset tile stations (see page 47).
•"_ Press DISPLAY so that tile frequency appears in
the display.
No picture or an unclear picture appears on the
TV screen or monitor.
Select the appropriate f\metion on tile reeeiver.
Set your TV to tile appropriate input mode.
Move your TV away fi'om tile audio components.
The remote does not function.
Point tile remote at the reinote sensor _ on tile
receiver.
Remove any ohstacles in the path hetween tile
remote and tile receiven
Replace both batteries in the remote with new
ones, if they are weak.
Make sure tile command mode of tile remote and
tile component are tile same (see page 53).
Make sure you select the correct flmction on the
relrlote.
•"_ If tile remote is set to operate the TV onlN use tile
renlote to select a source or conlponent other than
TV betore operating tile receiver or other
coinponent.
