Initial setting : ST[) (=120 Hz)
Lets you adjust the fi'ont speaker bass crossover frequency
when tile ti'ont speakers are set to "SMALL". Tile
fi'equency call be adjusted in 10 Hz steps ti'om 40 Hz to
200 Hz.
• Center speaker crossover frequency
(CENTER SP >)
Initial setting : ST[) (-120 Hz)
Lets you to adjust tile center speaker bass crossover
fi'equency when tile center speaker is set to "SMALL".
The frequency can be adjusted in 10 Hz steps fi'om 40 Hz
to 200 Hz.

(LFE HIGH CUT)
Initial setting:
STD (-120 Hz)
This setting lets you select the cutoff frequency
of the LFE
channel High Cut Filter. Normally,
this shoukt
set to STD.
The fi'equency
can be adjusted
in 10 Hz steps fi'om 40 Hz
to 200 Hz. When using a passive
subwoofer
powered
by a
separate
power amplifim;
it may be better to change the
cutoff freqt_ency. When this is tile case, use a setting other
than STD.
• Distance
unit (DIST. UNIT)
Initial setting
: fbet (meter)
Lets you select either tbet or meters as tile trait of measure
for setting distances.
1 foot corresponds
to a 1 ms
difference.
Use the remote
while
seated
in your
listening
position
to
adjust
tile volume
of each speaker.
Note
Tbis trait incorporates
a new test tone witb a frequency centered
at 800 Hz for easier speaker
volume
adjustment.

Press I/_
to turn
on the receiver.

Press TEST TONE on the supplied
remote.
You will hear tile test tone from each speaker
in
sequence.
Adjust
the volume level so that the volume of the
test tone from each
speaker
sounds the same
when you are in your main
listening
position.
• To adjust the balance of the fi'ont right and fi'ont left
speakers, use tile front balance paraineter in the
LEVEL menu (see page 38).
• To adjust the balance of the rear right and rear left
speakers, use tile rear balance paraineter in the
LEVEL inenu (see page 38).
• To adjust tile wflume level of the center speaken
press the LEVEL CENTER +/ buttons on the
remote.
• To adjust the wflume level of the mar L/R speakers,
press the LEVEL REAR +/
buttons on tile remote.
• To adjust the wflume level of the rear center speaker,
use tile rear center level parameter ill tile LEVEL
menu (see page 38).
• To adjust the voluine level of the sub woofer, use the
sub woofi_r level paraineter in the LEVEL menu (see
page 38).

Press TEST TONE again to turn off the test tone.

Tbe test tone cannot be output wben the receiver is set to 5.1CH
INPI,TT.

Notes
• The fl'ont balance, rear L/R balance, center level, rear L/R
level, rear center level, and sub wooDr level are shown in the
display during adjustment.
• Although these adjustments can also be made via the front
panel using the LEVEL menu (when the test tone is output, the
receiver switches to the LEVEL menu automatically), we
recommend you fi)lloxt,' t he procedtnv described above and
adjust the speaker levels fl'om your listening position using the
remote
control.
