Image Brightness (Exposure Compensation)
Before
shooting,
you can lock the exposure,
or you can specify
focus and
exposure
separately.

Lock the exposure.
Aim the camera
at the subject to shoot
with the exposure
locked.
With the
shutter
button
pressed
halfway,
press the
<1_> button.
[=X_] is displayed,
and the exposure
is
locked.
To unlock AE, release
the shutter
button
and press the <P_> button again.
In this
case, [._]
is no longer
displayed.
Compose the shot and shoot.
After one shot, AE is unlocked
and ['X'] is
no longer displayed.
AE: Auto Exposure
After the exposure is locked, you can adjust the combination of shutter
speed and aperture value by turn ng the <;i_i i i_>dial (Program Shift).
