You can use the digital zoom to zoom up to approximately 48x maximum, and
capture subjects that are too far away for the optical zoom to enlarge.
Move the zoom lever toward E_J.
Hold the lever until zooming stops.
Zooming stops at the largest possible
zoom factor without image deterioration.
The zoom factor will appear on the screen
when you release the zoom lever.
ZoomFactor Move the zoom lever toward E_-I
again.
The digital zoom will zoom in even further
on the subject.
To turn offthe digital zoom, press the MENU button to choose [Digital Zoom] in
the _ tab, then choose [Off].
