o Depending on the analog signal sent from the
connected device the input image may be
distorted or not be dispJayed at all (for example,
video input that includes anomalous signals
such as ghost signals).
o Analog video input that includes copyright
protection signaJs cannot be recorded with this
camcorder.
We recommend powering the camcorder using
the compact power adapter.
Digital Video Dabbing
You can input video from other digital
video devices and record the input video
on the tape anthe camcorder. Video input
will be recorded on the tape anthe same
standard of the original (HDV or DV).
Set [PLAYBACK STD] to [Q AUTO]
({Z3 42) before making the connections.
Connecting

Dubbing
1 Load a bJank tape in the camcorder
and Joad the recorded (source) tape
in the connected device.
° if "AV,_ DV" appears on the screen,
set [AV,_ DV] to [_ OFF] (q3 42).
° When the connection asrecognized
":_ HDVlDV" wall be displayed. When
the video input starts, the display wall
change to "_ HDVolN" or "_ DV-I N"
depending on the video input signal.
