Toadjustthese cables,proceedas follows:
1.
Usinga 1/2" w rench,loosenthe upper and lowerhexnuts foundon
one cableadjuster.
2.
Graspthe metalcablehousingand gently pushupwardto take
up slack(usuallyno morethan 1/4-inch)in the cablebefore
retightening both hexnuts.
3.
Repeaton the othercableadjusteruntilthe chuteassemblyhas
full rangefrom left-to-right.
Auger Control
Referto the Assemblysectionfor instructionson adjustingtheauger
controlcable.
Skid Shoes
Referto the Assemblysectionfor instructions on adjustingthe skid
shoes.

BELT REPLACEMENT
Auger Belt
To removeand replaceyoursnow thrower'sauger belt, proceedas
follows:
1.
Topreventspillage,removeall fuel fromtank by runningengine
until itstops.
2.
Removethe plasticbelt coveron the front of the engineby remov-
ing the two self-tappingscrews.See Figure22.
3.
Rollthe auger beltoff theengine pulley.See Figure23.
4.
Carefullypivotthe snowthrowerup and forwardso that itrestson
theauger housing.
5.
Removethe frame coverfrom the undersideof the snow thrower
by removingfourself-tappingscrewswhich secureit. See Figure
24.
6.
Removethe beltas follows.Referto Figure25.
a.
Loosenand removethe shoulderscrewwhich actsas a belt
keeper.
b.
Unhookthe supportbracketspringfromthe frame.
