controls and stoptheengine.Waituntilall moving partshavecometo
a complete stop.Disconnect sparkplugwireandgrounditagainstthe
enginetoprevent u nintended starting. A lways wearsafety glassesduring
operation or whileperforming anyadjustments o r repairs.

Be sureengine is uprightand level
2.
Unscrewoil fill cap from oil filler tubeand wipe dipstickclean.
3.
Screwoil fill cap back intooil fillertube. Tightensecurely.
4.
Unscrewand removeoil fill cap fromoil fillertube. Note oil level.
If oil readingon dipstick is below"ADD"mark,slowlyadd oil to
reach"FULL"level.See Figure12.
5.
Screwoil fill cap back intooil fillertube. Tightensecurely.

Wipeawayanyspilledoil.

Toavoidengine damage,it is importantto:
Checkoil levelbeforeeach useand every eightoperatinghours.
Changeoil after first 5 to 8 operatinghoursand every 50 operat-
ing hoursor once a seasonthereafter.

Placeengine leveland removesafety key.
2.
Disconnectspark plugwire and keepit awayfrom spark plug.
(Referto next section).If connected,disconnectextensioncord
frompowersource.
