Setting the Aute Retate Funetien
This camera is equipped with an Intelligent
Orientation sensor that detects the
orientation of an image shot with the camera
held vertically and automatically rotates it to
the correct viewing orientation in the display.
You can set this function on/off.

o You can use manual focus in the macro
focaB distance 5 to 45 cm (2.0 in. to 1.5 ft.)
at wide angle end and 30 to 45 cm (11.8 in.
to 1.5 ft.) at telephoto end. in this case, the
scale of the MF indicator will be changed.
e You can change the MF indicator displayed
distance units (p. 72).

In the [[_(Set up)]
menu, select
_(Auto Rotate).
See Selecting Menus and
Settings (p. 66).
Select [On] and press the MENU
button.
When this function is [On], an icon showing the
orientation of the camera appears at the upper
right corner of the LCD monitor (when
information display is on).
