For this mode to be effective,
the subject
must be looking
right at the red-eye
reduction
lamp. Try asking
them to look
directly
at the lamp. Even better
results can
be obtained
by shooting
with the lens set to
a wide angBe, increasing
the Bighting in
indoor settings
or approaching
closer to the
subject.
® The red-eye
reduction
function
cannot
be
set when the Special
Scene mode (p. 51) is
set to _(Rreworks).

between the lens and the subject is in the
range of 5 to 45 cm (2.0 in. to 1.5 ft.) at wide
angle end and 30 to 45 cm (11.8 in. to 1.5 ft.)

objects.
