The correct white b alance may not

®When taking awhite b alance data reading atclose r ange
while u sing f lash, you may not b eable t oobtain p roper
exposure.
After obtaining
the wMte b alance data, besure
tocheck whether the proper color balance was o btained.
If
not, i ncrease
the distance between
the camera and the
white p aper orcloth t hat y ou wish t ouse as the standard,
and take t he wMte b alance data reading again.
®Shoot with the same s ettings as when r eading the white
balance data. Ifthe settings differ, the optimal white
balance may n ot b eset. I nparticular,
the following
should
not b echanged.
°ISO Speed
°Flash:
Setting the flash t o_ or_ isrecommended.
Ifthe
flash fires w hen r eading the white b alance data w ith the
flash set t o_, make s ure t hat y ou also use the flash
when y ou shoot.
®Since the white b alance data c annot beread i nStitch
Assist mode, preset the white b alance inanother shooting
mode beforehand.
®The wMte b alance data isretained even a fter t he camera
power isturned off.
