Evaluative
Appropriate
for standard
shooting
conditions,
including
backlk scenes.
The camera
divides
_mages into several
zones for metering.
It
evaluates
complex
lighting conditions,
such as the
3osition
of the subject,
the brightness,
the direct
light, and the backlighting,
and adjusts
the settings
to the correct
exposure
for the main subject.
Averages
the _ight metered
from the entire frame,
but gives greater weight to the subject matter at the
center.

Avg.
Meters
the area within the spot AE point frame.
Spot AE Point
Use this mode when there
is a large divergence
in
brightness
between
the subject
and surroundings.
Locks
the spot metering
frame to the center
of the
Center
LCD monitor
(or the viewfinder).
Move the spot AE point to the same
position
as the
AF Point
selected
AF frame. Can be set only in [FlexiZone]
(p. 1 18).
