Field
TCP/IP Setup
IP Address Enter the IP address of your Prestige in dotted decimal notation.
IP Subnet Mask Your Prestige will automatically calculate the subnet mask based
on the IP address that you assign. Unless you are implementing
subnetting, use the subnet mask computed by the Prestige.
RIP Direction Press the [SPACE BAR] to select the RIP direction from Both/In
Only/Out Only/None.
Version Press the [SPACE BAR] to select the RIP version from RIP-1/RIP-
2B/RIP-2M.
Multicast
IGMP (Internet Group Multicast Protocol) is a session-layer
protocol used to establish membership in a Multicast group. The
Prestige supports both IGMP version 1 (IGMP-v1) and IGMP-v2.
Press the [SPACE BAR] to enable IP Multicasting or select None
(default) to disable it.
When you have completed this menu, press [Enter] at the prompt [Press ENTER to Confirm...] to save
your configuration, or press [Esc] at any time to cancel.

Internet Access Setup

You will see two different Menu 4 screens depending on whether you chose Ethernet or PPPoE
Encapsulation.

3.3.1 Ethernet Encapsulation

You must choose the Ethernet option when the WAN port is used as a regular Ethernet. The PPPoE choice
is for a dial-up connection using PPPoE. If you choose Ethernet in Menu 4 you will see the next screen.
