3.2.5 Printer Mechanism Disassembly

The procedures described in this section explain how to remove components from within the
printer mechanism.

3.2.5.1 Printhead Unit Removal

Remove the printer mechanism. (Refer to section 3.2.4.)
[Step 1]
Move the carnage to the middle of the printer. me carriage is l~ted between first and

Release the 4 tabs holding the carriage cover and takeoff the cover.

Remove the tension bar that holds the printhead unit in place.

Disconnect the cables from the printhead unit (the FFC cables from comectors CN2 and

CN3, and the cable from connector CN1) and remove it.
