Copying Problems - Canon IMAGERUNNER 1610 Reference Manual

Envelopes do not feed correctly.
Cause 1
Envelopes are loaded in the paper drawer.
Remedy
Do not load the envelopes in the paper drawer. Load them in the stack bypass.
Cause 2
Envelopes may not be loaded correctly.
Remedy
Make sure the envelopes are loaded properly. Do not load more than 10 envelopes in
the stack bypass. (See "Loading Envelopes in the Stack Bypass," on p. 5-11.)
Cause 3
The envelopes you are using may not meet the requirements for the machine.
Remedy
Envelopes must be COM10, MONARCH, DL, ISO-B5, ISO-C5, YOGATA #4, or
YOGATA #2 envelopes.

Copying Problems

The machine will not make a copy.
Cause 1
The toner cartridge may not be installed properly.
Remedy
Make sure the toner cartridge is installed properly.
Cause 2
The sealing tape may not be removed from the toner cartridge.
Remedy
Remove the sealing tape from the toner cartridge.
Cause 3
The paper drawer may not be inserted completely into the main unit.
Remedy
Insert the paper drawer as far as it will go. (See "Loading Paper in the Paper Drawer,"
on p. 5-5.)
Cause 4
The document may not have been loaded correctly.
Remedy 1
Remove the document, even the stack it if necessary, and load it in the ADF correctly.
(See "ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)," on p. 2-7.)
Remedy 2
Make sure the ADF is closed.
Cause 5
The document may be left on the platen glass.
Remedy
Remove the document from the platen glass, and load it in the ADF again.
Cause 6
<TONER EMPTY> is displayed.
Remedy
Replace the toner cartridge. (See "Replacing the Toner Cartridge," on p. 5-19.)
Cause 7
<WASTE TONER FULL> is displayed.
Remedy
Replace the drum unit. (For details, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.)
