This chapter discusses phone, fax, and data calls
on your KX440 Series phone. For information
about walkie-talkie radio calls, see "Using Your
Phone as a Walkie-Talkie" on page 6.

Making a call

Make sure you are in an area where the signal

Answering a call
When a call comes in, the phone rings, vibrates,
or lights up (depending on your settings), and a
dancing phone icon appears. The phone number
of the caller also appears, if it is not a restricted
number. If the number is stored in your Contacts
directory, the contact name also appears.
• To answer the call, press
• If you do not wish to answer the call, select

Silence
Ignore
If you have voicemail service, Silence mutes
the ringer and sends the caller to voicemail.
Ignore sends the caller directly to voicemail.
If you do not have voicemail service, selecting
Silence or Ignore ends the call.

Silencing an incoming call

• To silence an incoming call quickly, press
