Memory Requirements

All four sockets of a DIMM bank must be populated for the server to boot. Refer to the
SKA4 Baseboard Product Guide for more information.
Voltage Regulation Modules
The board contains voltage regulation circuitry for the primary processor. If you install
additional processors, you must install a Voltage Regulation Module (VRM) for each
additional processor. Refer to the SKA4 Baseboard Product Guide for more information.

Power Cord

There is a notch in the handle of the power supply to relieve stress on the power cord.
Refer to the SPKA4 MP Server System Product Guide for more information.
POST Information
If you press the <Esc> key at any time during the POST, a menu will appear after the
POST completes. From this menu you can specify which device to boot from or you can
enter Setup.
Using the CD
Accessing Manuals
To read the manuals on the CD, you must insert the CD into a system that is running
Windows
.
1. If the CD does not automatically start, run the menu.exe program.
2. Click on "Featured Products" in the sidebar.
3. Select a product from the "select a product" pull down menu
4. Use the "view additional documentation" or "print additional documentation" menus to
access the product guides.

Booting from the CD

There are two ways to boot from the CD. The first is to press <Esc> during the POST and
select it from the menu. The second is to enter Setup and change the boot priorities. Refer
to the SKA4 Baseboard Product Guide for more information.
