    VERVIEW The 3Com ® Router 3000 series routers provide the following types of interfaces: Ethernet interface ■ Synchronous/asynchronous serial interface ■ Auxiliary (AUX) port ■ ISDN BRI S/T and U port ■ CT1/PRI port ■ These features allow you to combine the various technologies, such as PSTN/ISDN, FR (Frame Relay), X.25, leased line, and T1 line, for networking.

To be connected to a remote device, a local modem must be connected to a remote modem through PSTN.
