(Optional) Manage the disk drives by right-clicking a drive icon to open a shortcut menu. The shortcut
menu may contain the following items (not all menu items are available for every disk drive):
• Set Drive as Hot Spare—Click this to designate the selected drive as a standby drive in case another
drive fails.
• Remove Drive as Hot Spare—Click this to return the selected drive to the pool of drives available for
logical disk creation.
• Blink Drive (MSA storage only)—Click this to begin blinking an LED indicator on the drive so that
you can identify it.
• Stop Drive Blinking (MSA storage only)—Click this to stop blinking the LED indicator that you have
previously set to blink.
• Set Drive Status—Click this to open the Set Drive Status dialog box
(for example, available, offline, not ready, or failed).
• Drive Details—Click this to open the Drive Details dialog box

details include the storage pool name, RAID type, and a list of its logical disks.
