Flash Memory

Printer flash memory can be used to
store fonts and macros. Unlike RAM,
items stored in flash memory remain
permanent even when power is turned
off. Additionally, the contents of flash
memory can be erased and reloaded
with new data. Storing commonly used
fonts and macros in flash can minimize
the amount of data that needs to be
sent to the printer, resulting in faster
print jobs and less network traffic.
