– Playing and Practice Songs –

Playback of Songs

You can play back the following types of Songs.
• Preset Songs (in the PRESET Page of the Song Selection display)
• Your own recorded Songs (see page 65 for instructions on recording)
• Commercially available Song data: SMF (Standard MIDI File)

Press the [SONG SELECT] button to call up the Song Selection
display.

Press the TAB [ ][ ] buttons to select the location of the desired
Song.
If you want to playback of Song in the USB flash memory device, connect the USB
flash memory device containing MIDI Song data to the [USB TO DEVICE]
terminal beforehand.

If you select the "PRESET" tab in step 2, select a Song category by
using the [A] – [J] buttons.
The preset Songs are categorized and contained in appropriate folders.

Select the desired Song by using the [A] – [J] buttons.
You can also select a Song by using the [DATA ENTRY] dial, then press the [ENTER]
button to execute.

For the Clavinova, "Song" refers to MIDI songs, which
include preset songs, commercially available MIDI format
files, and so on. Not only can you play back a Song and listen
to it, but you can also play the keyboard along with Song
playback.

page 7.

Song files (MIDI files)
corresponding to the included
Music Book "50 Greats for the
Piano" are available for free
downloading from the website
(page 7).
NOTE
Up to two USB flash memory
devices can be connected using
a USB hub. The indications
USB1, USB2 will be displayed
depending on the number of the
connected USB flash memory
devices.
NOTE
You can instantly jump back to
the Main display by "double-
clicking" on one of the [A] – [J]
buttons.
