IDE Configuration

The items in this menu allow you to set or change the configurations for the IDE
devices installed in the system. Select an item then press <Enter> if you wish to
configure the item.

Parallel ATA IDE Controller
Hard Disk Write Protect
IDE Detect Time Out (Sec)
Parallel ATA IDE Controller [Both]
Disables or allows selection of the IDE controller. Sets to Primary to enable the primary
IDE controller only. Sets to Secondary to enable the secondary IDE controller only.
Sets to Both to enable both the primary and secondary IDE controllers. Configuration
options: [Disabled] [Primary] [Secondary] [Both]
Hard Disk Write Protect [Disabled]
Disables or enables the devices write protection. This will be effective only when
the device is accessed through BIOS. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
IDE Detect Time Out [35]
Selects the time out value for detecting ATA/ATAPI devices.
Configuration options: [0] [5] [10] [15] [20] [25] [30] [35]
