Entering Text
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting
the keystrokes.
3. If the word is correct, start entering the next
word. Otherwise, press the 0 key, or the Up or
Down key repeatedly to display alternative word
choices for the keys that you have pressed.
Example: Both "Of" and "Me" have the sequence
of 6 and 3. The phone displays the most
commonly used choice first.
4. Press the key to insert a space.
5. Continue entering the next word.
Adding a new word into the T9 dictionary
1. After pressing the keys corresponding to the
word you want to add, press the 0 key or the
Down key to display the alternative words.
2. When you press the 0 key or the Down key on
the last alternative word, the display shows Add
on the bottom line. Press the Add soft key.
3. If necessary, clear the word using the C key, and
then enter the word you want using Alphabet
mode. For details about Alphabet mode, see
page 67.
4. Press the OK soft key.
The word is added to the T9 dictionary and
becomes the first word for the associated
keypress.

Smart punctuation
To enter periods, hyphens or apostrophes, press the
1 key. T9 mode applies grammar rules to ensure
that the correct punctuation is used.
Changing the case
To shift the case in T9 mode, use the
are 3 cases; Initial capital ( ), Capital lock (
and Lower case ( ).
Inserting a space
To insert a space between words, press the

To move the cursor to the left or right within the
text, press the Left or Right key.
Clearing letters and words
To clear the letter to the left of the cursor, press the
C key. You can clear all of the letters on the display
by pressing and holding the C key.

Using Alphabet mode

When typing in Alphabet mode, you should press
the key labelled with the letter you want using the 1
to 0 keys.
1. Press the keys labelled with the letter you want:
- Once for the first letter
- Twice for the second letter
- And so on
