Connecting the AM loop antenna
The antenna supplied with the system is for indoor use. Place it as far as possible away from the main unit, your
TV set, the speaker cords and the power cord and point it in the direction that gives the best reception.
Connecting the antenna cord
Place the AM antenna cord as shown on
the right and connect the lead (red) to the
right side of the [AM] terminal and the lead
(white) to the left side.

Connecting the FM indoor antenna
The antenna supplied with the system is a basic antenna for indoor use. For stable signal reception, the use
of an outdoor antenna (commercially available unit) is recommended. To connect an outdoor antenna, fi rst
remove the indoor antenna.

Twist the plastic sleeve on the end of the cord as you
pull it off .

Loosen the knob
If the system is connected correctly and still does not operate
normally or shows display errors, reset the microcomputer. (P.65)

Never short-circuit the positive (+) and negative (–) ends of
the speaker cords. (Do not touch the + and – cords together.)
Mistakenly reversing the positive and negative polarity will
result in unnatural sound and unclear sound source (e.g. musical
instruments) locations.
