Sending a document in response to
polling
Follow this procedure to set up your fax to send a
document in response to a polling request from
another fax.
. To cancel polling before the fax sends fhe document, just
remove the document from the document tray.
1 Press mnroTlooK-uFt until the AUro lamp
lights and remains on.
2 Feed the document into the fax. (.43)

3 Make the appropriate settings for
reproduction quality . (. 42)
. Eecause the document is being sent from your fax, the
receiving unit has no control over these settings.
You can now leave the fax unattended. The fax sends
the document when it receives a polling request from
another fax machine, but only if the 8-digit polling lDs
match.
. When the fax receives the polling request, the fax displays:
R E C E I V I N G
. Then the following rnessage is displayed when
transmission begins.
T R A N S M I T T I N G
t The other party's name and the document page number,
then the other party's number, are alternately displayed
briefly"
