If prompted, specify your preference in the Manage Trust For Multimedia Content dialog box. If prompted for a

password, enter the password and click OK. If prompted with an Instructions dialog box, read the instructions and
click OK.
Note: You can view the instructions at any time by clicking the View Instructions button
Enter your name in the Reviewer Name field. This name will appear in your comments.

Navigate to frames and add comments to them:
• To navigate to a specific frame, use the media player's playback controls.
• To move to another comment, choose it in the Go To menu, or click the Go To Previous Comment button
Go To Next Comment button
• To add a comment, click the Add Comment button
• To save your comments, click the Save Comment button
• To delete a comment, go to the comment and then click the Delete Comment button
Clip Notes prefixes your comment with the current reviewer name and timecode automatically. You can add your
own comment at the same frame as other reviewers; this is especially useful for responding to questions entered in
the comment field of a marker.

When you finish adding comments, click the Export button. The comment file is an XFDF file. (When this file is
imported into After Effects or Premiere Pro by the person who initiated the review, the comments appear as
markers.)
If prompted by your e-mail client software (such as Microsoft Outlook), edit and send the e-mail message that has

your Clip Notes comments file attached.
Note: You are prompted by your e-mail client software if an e-mail address was specified in the Return Comments To
field, when the Clip Notes PDF was created.
Import Clip Notes comments
Select the composition into which to import the Clip Notes comments.

This should be the composition from which you rendered the movie that was sent for comments. If you have
modified the composition since you rendered the movie for comments, the imported comments may not be
associated with the appropriate parts of the composition.

Choose File > Import > Adobe Clip Notes.
Select the XFDF file that contains the comments, and click Open.

Clip Notes comments appear as composition-time markers. Double-click a marker to read its comment.
