Deleting tracks by album or artist name

Use this procedure to delete multiple tracks by album or artist name.

MUSIC SEARCH
In the stop mode, press
• The search menu is displayed.
< JOG DIAL >

Use
or
to select the album or
artist name to be deleted, then press
< JOG DIAL >

Use
or
to select "Album Erase" or
ENTER
"Artist Erase", then press

< JOG DIAL >
[F F G G ]
Use
or
to select "Y", then press
ENTER
.
• "Complete" is displayed once the track is deleted.
• If deleted tracks were included on playlists, they are removed from
the playlists.
• Some time may be required for the deleting procedure, depending
on how many tracks are to be deleted.

Deleting all tracks

Function : HDD
All the tracks on the HDD are erased at once.

In the stop mode, press
• The search menu is displayed.

Select "Artists", "Albums", "Tracks" or "Genres"
then press
• "All Erase" is displayed.
[EDIT]

Press
• "All Erase?" is displayed.

< JOG DIAL >
Use
ENTER

• "Really?" is displayed.

< JOG DIAL >
Use
ENTER
.
• During the deleting procedure, "Process in Progress..."
flashes on the display.
• Several minutes may be required for the tracks to be deleted.
• Once the track is deleted, "Complete" is displayed, then "No
Track" is displayed.
