Setting Up the
Cisco Unified IP Conference Station

Before you install your Cisco Unified IP Conference Station, you must first
assess your network configuration (such as the use of DHCP or static addressing).
Refer to the appropriate topics in this chapter to understand how to install and
configure the Cisco Unified IP Conference Station.

Before you begin installing the Cisco Unified IP Conference Station, you must
configure Cisco Unified CallManager for the conference stations and decide how
you want the stations to be added to the Cisco Unified CallManager database.
You can choose to auto-register the stations with Cisco Unified CallManager, or
you can add the stations manually. Because Cisco Unified CallManager handles
the call processing on the network, this is a critical step.
