Initial Settings

DVI connections

Select the image resolution, aspect ratio and image quality
levels to match the device used through a DVI connection.
1. Press the SETUP button to open the
SETUP menu, then use the cursor
buttons (», «, |, \) to select [Initial
Settings] and press the ENTER button

Use to select the image resolution of the DVI output.
Use the cursor buttons (|, \) to select
resolution, and press the ENTER button
to confirm.
This Pioneer logo will only be displayed when connecting
to a Pioneer device.

¶ Select image resolution from the following:
• VGA (640 x 480 pixel) progressive-scan image
• 720 x 480 pixel progressive-scan image
• 720 x 480 pixel interlace-scan image
• 720 x 576 pixel progressive-scan image
• 720 x 576 pixel interlace image
• 1280 x 720 pixel progressive-scan image
• 1920 x 1080 pixel interlace-scan image
¶ After setting a new resolution, a confirmation message
will be displayed. Confirm the selection once more after
reading this message.
¶ If image is not correctly displayed after changing the reso-
lution, hold the remote control unit's [0] button depressed
for 5 or more seconds to reset resolution to the value au-
tomatically set when the device was first connected to
this player.
Note
¶ The 720 x 576 pixel progressive/interlace image is
selectable only when playing a PAL disc. Also, the VGA or
720 x 480 pixel progressive/interlace image is selectable
only when playing a NTSC disc.
¶ The display image may appear rough or output may be tem-
porarily interrupted during switching of image resolution.
