Front-Panel Lights and Error Conditions

Light Turns Off During Startup If
The digital voice modem is not properly
Power
plugged into the power outlet
Downstream The receive channel cannot be acquired
(Receive)
Upstream The send channel cannot be acquired
(Send)
Online IP registration is unsuccessful
Link Communication between the computer and
the modem is interrupted
Battery AC power is not present
Telephone 1, If a telephone light fails to flash during startup,

telephone line configuration has failed
If a telephone line is properly connected and the telephone line LED remains off, the line has
not been set up for service. Contact your service provider. For more information about the
