When flash charging is completed and the shutter release button
is depressed halfway down, the flash-ready indicator [ i ] appears
in the viewfinder, and the shutter speed is automatically switched
to the flash-sync speed.

With the lens aperture ring locked at the ''A'' position, the appro¬
priate aperture value is set automatically.

Successful flash discharge is confirmed by the flash-ready indicator
[ i ] in the viewfinder, which either turns off briefly and back on
again or blinks after exposure.
