REMOVAL AND REASSEMBLY OF LIFT BALE (continued)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove input power to machine.
2. Using a 5/16 (8mm) nut driver or flat head
screw driver, remove 20 screws (ten per side) to
remove case sides and 2 screws to remove top.
3. Remove two leads, #217 and #222 from resis-
tor R2.
4. Using a 3/8" socket wrench, remove the two
screws holding the input contactor bracket to
the lift bail.
5. Using a 9/16" socket wrench, remove the four
bolts mounting the lift bail to the main trans-
former assembly.

6. Using a 9/16" socket wrench, remove the four
bolts and associated washers mounting the lift
bail to the base assembly. See Figure F.25.
7. Loosen or remove any cable or wire ties neces-
sary for lift bail removal.
8. Carefully remove the lift bail by lifting straight up
and clear.
