僅 Electronic Brake force Distribution
(EBD) system warning light
- When both ABS and parking brake
& brake fluid warning lights are on,
the brake system will not work nor -
mally and you may experience an
unexpected and dangerous situa -
tion during sudden braking.
- In this case, avoid high speed driv -
ing and abrupt braking. We recom -
mend you have the vehicle
inspected by an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner as soon as
possible.
僅 Safe stopping
- The TPMS cannot alert you to
severe and sudden tyre damage
caused by external factors.
- If you notice any vehicle instability,
immediately take your foot off the
accelerator pedal, apply the brakes
gradually with light force, and
slowly move to a safe position off
the road.
CAUTION
僅 Low fuel level warning light
- Driving with the Low fuel level
warning light on or with the fuel
level below "E" can cause the
engine to misfire.
僅 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
- If the Malfunction Indicator Lamp
(MIL) appears, potential catalytic
converter damage is possible which
could result in loss of engine power.
In this case, have the vehicle
inspected by a professional work -
shop. Kia recommends to visit an
authorised Kia dealer/service part -
ner.

Warning and indicator lights
僅 Exhaust system warning light
- If you continue to drive with the
exhaust system warning light (
blinking for a long time, the system
can be damaged and fuel con -
sumption can worsen.
NOTICE
僅 Make sure that all warning lights are
OFF after starting the vehicle. If any
light is still ON, this indicates a situa -
tion that needs attention.
僅 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
- Driving with the Malfunction Indica -
tor Lamp (MIL) on may cause dam -
age to the emission control system
which could affect drivability and/
or fuel economy.
- If the enhanced engine protection
system becomes activated due to
lack of engine oil, engine power will
be limited. If such condition contin -
ues repeatedly, the Malfunction
Indicator Lamp (MIL) will appear.
- When a malfunction is detected in
the emission control system, the
engine, the vehicle power train, or
the active air flap. If this occurs,
have the vehicle inspected by an
authorised Kia dealer.
